Portraits
Every portrait is an act of witnessing, an attempt to hold still moments, memories, and the sense of belonging felt at the time. Since beginning formal photography instruction in 2008, I intuitively captured images of those closest to me, creating a space for presence and revealing intimate connections that might otherwise dissolve into memory.
Each person becomes part of this visual archive, another record of fragile vulnerability and quiet resilience, honoring the subtleties of life and the persistence of identity. This ongoing preservation is often a resistance to erasure and a reminder that the histories most worthy of telling are often those that exist in silence, unseen.
